A Prayer for the Unknown

 Abba, 

You promised You'd go with me, so here I stand clinging to that promise with all my heart. So many unknowns seem to cloud the future and I can't see clearly. Give me the grace to do the next right thing, resting in the knowledge that You will never leave my side. My life is as a painting and You are the Master Artist. Every stroke of the brush has a purpose, and every color chosen has meaning. Thank you for seeing the beauty in my brokenness and calling me to discover the intrinsic beauty in those around me. For all are created in Your image. 

You are Worthy. You are Worthy of all I am. So with nervous excitement,
I step out onto the waves with you. The billows roll and waves crash around me, but I am safe in the shadow of Your wings. My heart beats with a sweet assurance that You have already pathed the way for me to follow. Guide me, Thou Great Jehovah! For I know not what I am stepping into, yet I know You know every detail and every struggle I will face. You know every victory I will celebrate and every failure that will prove to draw me closer to You.
      
So with Joy, I kneel before my Lord and say, 

"Take my life, use me for Your Glory. Take my heart, purify it for Your praise. Take my mouth, may it overflow with the Truth of Your Word. Take my feet, may they spread Your peace wherever I go. And take my hands, May they lead people into Your loving embrace. 

Here I am, Lord send me!"

Amen

"Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

So this poem has a cool story. While I was at Ellerslie, a 5-week Bible Summit in Windsor Colorado, I heard a message titled, We will not Fear. The speaker shared a true story that happened during the time of the Roman Empire. There was a stag that was given a plaque around its neck with these words inscribed on it: "I belong to Caesar, Touch Me not." That stag had the freedom to travel anywhere in the kingdom and even wander into enemy territory, remaining safe because of who he belonged to. The same is true for us as Christians. You see, we belong to Jesus which means that we carry His Name. We have the knowledge that the enemy has no say over our lives except for what we choose to give him.       This is a poem that God gave me at the start of the new year 2022. The words came at a moment when I was feeling some fear about how unknown my plans were for that year. It was during that time of questioning that He gave me this poem with a promise that He would carry me through, come what may. As I read back over it now, I see how He has used both the desert and fruitful seasons of my life to draw my heart closer to His throughout the years. He truly is worthy of our surrender. Surrender A freedom found in letting go  A joy the world can never know. The Meaning Behind the Name

Welcome! I invite you now into a very special part of my life. I pray you will be encouraged. So, what's the meaning behind the name? If you know me, you would agree that one of my favorite things in the world is waterfalls! I have climbed steep cliffs, hiked for miles, and put myself in some pretty precarious situations in order to come close to these wonders that God created!  Some of you may not know the underlying reason that I love waterfalls. Each time I see one, it reminds me of the deep, overflowing, incredible Love that God has for me and this world He designed. You see, we all live from something. In our lives, there is an underlying source from where we get all our strength and energy.  It may be the work we do or the social life we have, perhaps it's what we eat, or how we connect with people.
